Hi I purchased a c300 sport today. I got it home and looked at it and felt there is something missing. Its the stand up hood emblem. I know alot of people dont like it but I would like to give it try and see what it looks like. My question is Is it possible? If so how would I go about doing it?(Where do I go). The cost doesnt matter to me (as long as its not like $500) If it $200 or $300 im ok with it. Thank you.

Congrats on the new car and welcome to the forum.
I picked up one on ebay a while back for $10 bucks so just look around and you should be able to pick one pretty cheap.
It is extremely easy to switch them out. Use the search function and you can find several threads on this.

Some members have done what you are looking to do. Personally I think the sport looks strange with the stand up hood ornament.

You want to have two emblems on your hood? One in the grille and one on top of it? Looks absolutely miserable!!

If you really want to ugly up your new car, yes it's easy to find one and won't cost you much. I too miss the upright hood star, but having both is just no good.

Clearly a matter of personal taste, but there seems to be a consensus that the dual stars (standup and in grille) look odd and poor. If you must have the standup hood ornament, also get a grille without a star such as an OE Lux grille.

Do a Google picture search for "c-klasse doppelstern" and you'll find a couple of pictures of the double star. IMHO an absolute no-go.

It is. I have both hood ornaments and both grills and after mixing and matching a bit, I agree that the way to go is either lux grill with stand up star or sport grill with flat ornament.

So I just got 2010 c300 Lux but right away wanted to change to a sport grille and flat emblem.. I swapped the grilles and was able to remove the upright hood ornament but couln't put in the flat emblem I bought from eBay here's the link to the one I bought..

am I missing a part? Does this emblem seem right for my car?
Do I use anything from my old upright hood star assembly to secure the flat emblem to the hood? Thanks
