You would be surprised, this was all over the C63 forum a while back and it sounded like they were eating them up....

How many times have you changed your wheels? If more than twice you have probably already lost a grand in the investment, so not too far out of the relm...I thought for sure you would be in line for one, based on the way you spent time and cash on your car it seemed only a matter of time before we saw one of these beauty's bolted on the back...

The reason most people on MB world own C63's is for modding, price is not much of a issue on that pond! And a trunk is not on the same level of mods as wheels!

Agreed, C63 guys would get this mod to get weight off their cars i guess for the looks of my trunk i have a spoiler to take care of that, thats why in my opinion its kind of worthless to spend that kind of money on it i rather get wheels to change the looks of the car completely but trunk doesn't do that effect. If it was half the price maybe i would go for it

This trunk is bad ***, If I had a c63 i would have sent payment for this yesterday. but with my 350 tank im driving now its kinda pointless unless this was a "show car".

I guess I did not word that very well, my point was not to compare wheels to a trunk, but to show that modding cars is expensive and replacing the same part numerous times is wasting money more so than purchasing a totally Fin amazing carbon fiber deck lid with a rediculously badass spoiler integrated into it...show off factor for the buck, I say the trunk lid wins over the 2-3 sets of wheels resold at half the price they were purchased for..and you are correct, it is not on the same level, everyone who wants wheels has them, very few have something as rare or over the top as the item in this thread.

Wheels are mostly for looks. The weight savings could arguably serve a functional purpose. But I'm guessing that the C series is front heavy so taking weight off the rear wheels might not be ideal. Anyhow, I've seen people here spending several hundred (thousand?) just to get an exhaust that has an AMG style tip. I wouldn't do it, but I'm sure some people will.
