From BenzBlogger the 2013 C300 comes with 248Hp/251lb/ft torque?

Looks like the new C300 is using a detuned version of the C350's engine. That would be really cool if you could get an ECU tune and have the power of the 350 on a 300 with all wheel drive and all. Would make it a really desirable car, cheap power. Chances are thought Benz prevented ECUs from being effective.

It will be interesting to see what the mechanical differences are, if any. If the ECU is the only difference, that would be pretty nice.
Is the C300 only available in the States with the 4Matic now?

For 2012, the C300 is only available w/ 4matic in the US; I guess that's not changing next year.

What I wonder is if they're getting rid of the Luxury/Sport distinction as trim lines for 2013 and beyond (and possibly for the E-class eventually?).... I'd actually be fine w/ that, since I would've preferred a C250 Luxury (but couldn't find one in the color combo I wanted in-stock and wasn't in a position to wait months for a custom ordered one....). I've always thought that the Luxury/Sport trims were sort of silly as they are now, since the Sport seemed more cosmetic than anything else. Too bad the shift paddles aren't standard in the regular Sport package....

Guess the days of MB's going years without updates are long gone...

Still baffles me how the c350 4matic is a dime a dozen in Canada and the USA have none. It's so dumb it's funny

Exactly the opposite here. Wanted the Sport but could only get the luxury.

Shame freight back and forth to Australia would be a killer otherwise we could swap bumpers and skirts. Even better if yours were the same Palladium Silver color as mine.

Har! I actually like the way the Sport looks, but I think I would probably would've preferred the softer ride of the Luxury. And I wouldn't mind seeing the hood ornament when I drive....

My parents have a Palladium Silver one, if you're interested.... (just kidding about the swap, of course, although they do have a Palladium Silver C)

4Matic is standard in Canada but not in the U.S. It's a $2K option here.

The 250,300 and 350 are the same car. Just diffrent power plants and of course the 300 is AWD. If you want the most bang for the buck with loads of potential of cheap power in the future the 250 is your best bet. Those 4 bangers will be putting down 220 whp to the wheels for less than 500 bucks in a year or so. There also lighter.
