C300 Oil sprayed on engine covers

Hello everyone,
I purchased 2008 C300 Luxury 4matic a month ago. Yesterday, I noticed oil squirted on the engine covers which seems like it came between the front (small) and the large (back) plastic covers of the engine. It didn't have much but it worries me.
When I bought it I didn't see anything like this for the first couple of weeks but recently I had to go to the dealership where I bought it (non-mb) for something non-mechanical related and asked them to change the oil since I had to leave my car overnight.
I wonder if it wasn't something that they could have messed up.

Any ideas?

I'm sorry I don't have any more info to post but this week I'll open up the covers to see what's going on underneath.

Its probably nothing. They probably spilled some oil from extracting the old oil, filling the car with new oil, or changing the filter. With the c-class, oil changes are done entirely from the hood of the car so there are plenty of opportunities for tiny spills/sprays/drips. Just wipe it off and inspect other areas to make sure they're clean. If its just the engine covers then you have nothing to worry about.

If it wasn't there when you got it back from the shop, you might want to check the seals on the oil cap or filter cap. If the oil is coming from under the engine covers, you might want to take a look as soon as possible.

Same thing happened to me when I changed GF's oil, and did not tighten the oil cap exactly as it should be .... oil all over the covers 5 miles into 400 mi trip. I was duely directed to the dog house.
