Lamp malfunction errors (five errors popped up!)

Right Brake light, rear right signal, Left rear fog light..... Error messages regarding those lamps popped up yesterday all of sudden.

Yes,, I replaced the halogen low beam with DDM 35W HID three month ago and it worked just fine. I am not sure this aftermarket modification triggered this issue. Anyone who has the same issue?? Should I just take my car to dealership after replacing HID lights with halogen lamps? Fortunately warranty does not expire yet.

Any suggestions will be appreciated!

thanks,

If you have warranty then you should definitely take it in to the dealership. I agree that you should switch out your HIDs with the halogen lamps first incase they decide to blame your HIDs for the issue and decide not to honor your warranty, but then again theres a large hole in your dust covers.

Does sound like a glitch with the rear control module, but have you removed both light clusters to see if any of the bulbs are actually burned out? Check both connectors/harnesses while you're at it...

I had a similar issue. took it to the dealershp and they found not only my rear light bulbs burned but the cabling as well!! They changed everything and today, I had the parking lights, license plate, and other one bulb out! WTF?

Similar stuff is happening to me. Couple weekends ago left rear brake error popped up. I called the dealership and took it in and he showed me how to do it myself and two of the bulbs were burn which he replaced.

Half hour after, I started getting the error for the right rear brake and I went to a shop got a bulb myself and replaced the one that looked like was burnt. It was all fine for a week until this weekend I get error for right reverse light. Which I replaced myself with the one bulb I had left over from the package.

The error is gone for now...but let's see. Just seems weird that these bulbs keep going out so often...

Yeah, happened to me today. and ONE day after warranty expired. Maybe it's just the lights, could be something more. Can't figure out how to get the harnass off.?

Now that I look at the rear lamps. they are FINE, it appears that one of the cable harnasses from the car to the lamp cluster seems to have burned up a bit, some wires seems a little striped of their coatings and the grey lamp cluster has some brown spots on the opposite side of the harnass. Clearly, the dealer is going to need to replace, but bummer it's one day (now three days) out of factory warranty. think they'll fix it for me, good customer.?
