For anyone that's on H&R coils and hates the front gap

I've grown very tired of the the front of my car being ever so slightly too high with the collars cranked all the way down. I decided to take my dremel and cut off the bottom lock collar on my coils to get that extra 1/4" of drop in the front that my car needs. It took about 15 minutes to remove both sides and the end result was well worth the effort. I recommend that you do this to get they our C looking the best it can. Just make sure the remaining collar is nice and tight on the sway bar bracket have a look!

It's not much but makes a huge overall difference in total stance.

Hard to see any difference in these pics - maybe if you post complete profile shots it would show the stance improvement...

What is the main function of the lock collars you removed? Any risk involved by removing them?

Yeah, it's hard to capture the difference on camera. These pics show it a little better but still hard to see a 1/4" difference. Usually there is more of the sidewall showing in the front but with these collars removed its now pretty much even with the rears. Removing the bottom collar won't hurt you at all since the top collar is tight against the sway bar bracket. There no where for the collar to go. It's there to prevent the top collar from moving while the coil turns as you drive.

nice do you have a pick of that collar? Front looks aggressive and beware of inner tire ware.

Not at all worried about tire wear, the camber barely moves in the front when we put coils on it. The rears on the other hand I'm on H&R coils.

Very nice.

Are you still running the rear perch or did you remove those too?
