C200 gear shifting question

I picked up my car yeasterday, just have a quick question. Do you need to release the accelerator padel when you are shifting between D1 and D7, or you can keep depressing it at all times?
Thanks heaps!

I would think that can keep accelerating. It's still an automatic, so it will not let you do anything to harm it. There will be some lag when changing gears so be sure to compensate and it's absolutely normal.
