Hey guys, a local installer friend that handles all my lighting installed this MB emblem projector into the door which projects the Mercedes emblem onto the floor, just wanted some opinions on this, what do you think? I am pretty much the test car. Excuse the crappy iphone video.

He had to put a small hole into the bottom of the door panel, and install the projection unit that wires into the red door light just have to deal without the red door light which is fine with me.

i thought the emblem looked too busy and distracting so i'm trying to isolate the
star (only) and seeing how this displays. i have a door compartment for umbrella
etc which already has wiring and light so I am trying that location out to see if
that will suffice instead of drilling into the door. nice toy for about $15 US

Definitely not my cup of tea, but looks pretty good. Would look better with just the star, though.

Agreed, but I have no intrest in removing my door panel, hooking up to the red door light is cool, rather be able to wire to light, and fish wires to light....

Definitely cool. I've never seen anyone do anything like that before.

Everything was done without removing the door panel, just the bottom portion need to be lifted out slightly to access the area. And the projector wires directly into the red light wiring with an adapter no wires is cut. I asked for just the star he will get it for me. Believe there's options for country flags sports teams even seen a Barbus and AMG one. Ill see how the star looks alone but ill keep the setup either one.

I think it's too over-the-top.
There is enough MB stars on the car already, we don't need to reminded that it's a Mercedes even more with light projections.
Subtlety is more classy.

hi andy can u just confirm you drilled the hole for lights to fit in n was it into the metal part ov the door or the interior part at the bottom thanks ive got 1 in mine now just waiting till it get dark to see if it works and I kept my red door light in but I drilled the hold to the left of the red door light

I don't know how I feel about that really. I am more of a fan of those coming out of the mirrors and being faint. Something like this

Hi, I am doing my research to find an AMG logo projector but I read from te manufactures warranty that it lasts about 1 to 3 months and that after you need to replace the lens for free as long as you pay for shipping. Is it true that it lasts only 1-3 months? I leave in Greece and we dont have these yet so I would have to order them from the US every 3 months :/ Thanks in advance

No, they last a long time. It's not new tech.

I've had mine for quite a while, bought from amazon for $20. Plug in and play, direct swap from the red ones on bottom door.
