Paint Protection Film - decent deal?

I've scheduled to have Xpel paint protection film installed on my new C350. I'm getting bumper, partial hood, fenders, mirrors, and back edges of the doors. The cost I've been quoted is $650 installed. Is that decent? It seems that every quote I got was around $680 or higher here in the Nashville area. Also, from what I can gather, Xpel is about the best option out there. Any thoughts?

I know nothing about Xpel paint protection.
When I bought the 2013 W204 last November, I convinced myself to go for what Dealer called "Superior Vehicle Appearance Surface Protection System" for $644 after CA tax. Took Dealer half a day to do just that.
Until now I couldn't tell the difference and I don't want to think I wasted $ for doing so

Don't worry, your not alone. I've done it for both my most recent purchases (2012 MB C350 & 2013 Lexus CT200h) for around ~$1200.

Primary reason was I've never done it before and wanted to see what it was all about first hand. Prior to this, a friend of mine who purchased a car at the same time got it done, and for years his car always seemed shinier and slicker to the touch.

I too think I may have wasted $$$ since for the same cost, you could Zaino the entire car once or twice a year for 5 years to accomplish the same thing. However, like I mentioned, I wanted to see what it was about first hand before making a final judgement for future purchases.

To the OP....I considered a clear bra as well. Problem is, I'm afraid over time it may stain/yellow especially on a light color (mine is white). Also, the tech doing the install is extremely important, since *IF* you decide to remove the film later, you may discover cut/blade marks in the paint where he trimmed the access off.
