iPod connection power

I have the iPod connection on my c350 and I leave an iPod plugged in and it seems as though there is constant power being sent to the iPod, even if the car has been off for a while. Is it always supplying power or does it stop after x hours? Do I need to be worried about leaving it plugged in and letting the car sit for any extended period (battery dying)?

No worries. Mine is plugged in all the time unless I'm syncing new music onto it.

I believe the power does shut off eventually. I wouldn't worry about it though; I have an Ipod used only for the car (it never comes out) and the car has sat for over 7 days without any issue at all.
