Tires choice Continental vs Michelin

Lol! No I'm not, and neither are you. But I do know you're a smart ***. I bet your buddy Bob the tire guy might have a article about that in his website.
If I would have known you're a fanatic I would of opted out and not comment on the OP question. But there's always and A-hole trying to disrupt and derail a thread.

I have quoted a tire industry expert and scientific literature he compiled to prove his point. You instead have provided nothing to substantiate your point.
Let the readers decide for themselves.

I'm a fanatic and an a-hole just for expressing a different view from yours? That's very mature of you.

First hand experience can say more than a wannabe scientific moron that writes something online. I can say from first hand experience that it works and makes a difference because I have driven tires with air and with nitrogen.
But if you want me to post a link with some literature, here is a "moron" from Popular Mechanics magazine speaking vaguely on the subject. Since Bob the tire guy is "THE MAN" and no one else is smarter than BOB!

Would you like to send him a e-mail and insult his article??

I am trying to provide an alternative position on the subject, one that actually refers to the underlying science, not just empty marketing claims. It's you who is getting all riled up just because this position does not agree with yours.
Wannabe scientific moron? What gives you the right to judge people like that?
His name is not Bob. He provides evidence that nitrogen in street tires doesn't do a whole lot. You are entitled to your opinion, and so is he, and so am I, based on the evidence presented.
The conclusion paragraph speaks for itself - it shows just how little benefit there is to nitrogen in street tires. Wheel corrosion? In my decades of driving and car ownership, this has never been an issue using the inferior 78% nitrogen air.

Ok I'm pulling out the white flag. You win! Thank you for your input. It is very appreciated.

It's not about winning. I am just presenting a different point of view, supported by a little bit of science.
We're all adults here, so everyone can decide for themselves who/what to believe.
I just don't understand why you had to revert to childish name calling.

Doing Autocross or Track Days? Nitrogen is probably a good idea. For driving on public roads? Well if the nitrogen fill is free, then why not, but I personally won't go out of my way or pay extra for it.
Now back on topic Continental v. Michelin. As an owner of a C250 Sport with 18" rims, it's unlikely that either will improve my ride quality. If you buy LRR or Run Flats of ANY brand you're trading handing performance AND ride quality to get the benefit of LRR/RF.
Why are there all of these trade offs? WHEN I get a W205 it will include Airmatic Suspension.

I am all about the Michelin Sport AS 3's for the Northeast for my c 300 4matic. The runflats give me heartburn, they ride like cement for the one time I might have a flat in the middle of nowhere, they are the tail wagging the dog.

I don't know anything about the authenticity of this article but it seems more scientific.
BTW filling up with just air at my local gas station costs me 5 minutes and $1.00. I might do it every 6 months or so.

Hello guys, its been a long time since this conversation. I haven't change the tires yet! Unfortunately it was a cold winter for Cyprus with a lot of rain so the car was closed in the Garage. I will make an order this month for tires. I want to ask if anyone try the ContiSport Contact 5P. I read some good reviews. The only prob is that is not available in 225/40/R18. What is your opinion if i put ContiSport Contact 5 in frond and 5P rear..
Thank you again

I don't know but the 5P seems to win over PSS in some review.
