Hi everybody, a couple of days a go I felt in love with a c300 4matic!! and I want to buy it!! the car is at one of the dealer shop, she is a 2011 4matic luxury black and she has 40,000miles the price is 26k. I drove it and checked it inside outside, the engine and nothing was looking wrong on my eye although i want to do the best to make sure I don't get any future problem. Beside checking on carfax.com for her history and ask for the service book what should I do to make sure everything is fine with the car??

Be aware that at 40,000 miles car is due for a transmission service. It's pricey so either ask dealer to include it or be prepared to pay around five hundred bucks.

You still have some factory warranty on it so any problems will become evident by then and fixed under warranty. If I'm not mistaken a lot of problems with the 4 matics are transmission , but at 40k miles it would have most likely already shown symptoms.

ah thank you for telling me that, so basically the service that has to be done at 40,000 miles include the trasmission

Price seems kinda high for that what packages are on it (IE nav power seats with memory?) Or you may live somewhere that they are pricey at. I can tell you this car scared me at first just like my GTI did when I got it. German cars make noises and do other things Japanese cars or american cars don't do. Good luck and hope you get one I am in love with mine right now.

As others noted, trans service at40k is important. I also agree that $26k might be just a little high, but it comes down to the car, options and how much you like it to send a little more.

go to truecar.com and see what others are paying. That is how I bought my 13 c300.

not sure where you live or what packages are on the car but I got a 2013 c250 used with a little more then 10k miles for 29,900 and i bought it in 2013...3k more for a brand new car with factory warranty still you should maybe do some research

it has definetly the Nav but I will check for more proces...

it is also a 4matic and I think has heated sets not sure if that can justified the price...thanks again

Is it at a MB dealership or just a random?


If MB, they should already have done full B service along with transmission fluids, at least they did with mine and I bought it @ 35k miles.
