How to properly change battery?

What is the proper way to replace the battery? I was told if I simply disconnect the terminal and swap the battery, I might encounter some error code?

Local dealer want $90 labor for the swap and MB Roadside Assistance want $75 for the labor which seems excessive.

I am thinking using a booster pack to connect to the red jump terminal and brass negative pole then disconnect the battery and do the swap this way?

It's an easy job!

Hi there,

It's an easy and straight forward job. Simply remove the old battery and install new one. Remember, when removing old battery, disconnect the negative cable first then positive. When new battery is in, connect positive cable first.

All my car's settings(power window, sun roof, radio etc...) remain intact.

By the way, the battery is quite heavy, don't drop it.

Good luck,
