Wheels with low offset = premature wheel bearing wear?

I was just doing research on wheel spacers. they said they cause premature wheel bearing wear. They said its the same as wheels with low offsets.Let me know what you guys think?

It makes sense. the tyre is acting as a lever against the bearing, so the further away it is, the more pressure it will place on it.

As to HOW premature the bearing might fail, who knows? I doubt there is much study into how much force is exerted on the bearing form different offsets, or how capable the bearing is to withstand it.

From an anecdotal point of view, I haven't heard any complaints from the guys in the stance scene, and they have some seriously aggressive offset.
