W204 Edition C Attention Assist

Hello, I have an edition C W204 C250 in South Africa. I am trying to activate the attention assist. The console says it is active but there is no "tea cup and saucer" display on the console to advise it is active as per the manual. Is this an optional feature or am I doing something incorrect?

assistance is appreciated as the dealers do not know

Was there one there before, and now there's not? You can reset to vehicle defaults, that may get things back on track.

Good luck

was never there to begin with, therefore I am enquiring if this is a option or a standard equipment? I only have the car for 1 month now and purchased as a preowned with 5000km on the clock.

My car doesn't have the sensors installed but the tea cup still shows up if I turn the feature on.

I have no idea how this feature works. I've been on the highway a couple of times and it will alert me to pull over. It's seemingly random, and I have never been able to reproduce it.

It works very well,It has alerted me twice and i was a bit tired. It studies your driving habits after for the first 20 min of your drive. It also takes note of the buttons that you push while driving like the radio or volume. if it detects a change in your driving or if you stopped doing something it will go off

Interesting. I thought it may track head position, so I tried moving my head around like I was dozing off and it didn't work. Next time it goes off, I'll try to figure out what I was doing differently.
