NEWBIE HERE, 08 C300 LIGHTS ISSUES HELP.
Hello all, Im new here but not to MBs, I currently have an 08 C300 sport with 82k. When I take the key out the radio is still functional as well as one exterior light. Sometimes one eyelid light or the other side fog light. I have messed with the light switch positions which doesn't make a difference. Ive done some reading here and seen similar problems but not exact. Is it most likely a FAULTY LIGHT SWITCH? Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thank you.

Are you positive it's not the Intelligent Light System feature?

No, only one light stays on and looks dim when its the one fog light. they key will have been out of the ignition for several hours and I can go in open the radio display cover and the radio comes on. Also like maybe one eyelid light will be on or one fog light. I am very concerned my battery is going to be dead one afternoon when I don't notice it and mess with the light switch to get it off. Light switch position makes no difference BTW, which is what makes me lean towards a faulty light switch

Mine have always done it. Its a gremlin in the system. Probably tied into the recall from the back taillight bulb burn up which I never bothered to fix. Leave the lights on auto when you shut the car off. This will "fix" the problem. I have scanned the system...there are no codes and all the voltages and resistances are correct. Its weird but affects nothing.
