Clacking Sound
Hi all,
Within the last couple days I've noticed a clacking sound, which seems to be coming from under the car, in the vicinity of the transmission hump in the floor of the backseat. It's the type of sound a belt or tensioner might make in cold weather. I notice it when I'm in idle and especially when I let my foot off the brake a little. It is cold here, but it's been cold for a while and it seems more pronounced. Not sure if this is related, but the transmission shifting has been pretty harsh, even after driving for 20 minutes. Again, I'm guessing it's weather-related. 2014 C300 4Matic, 13,000 miles.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Mike

I'd take that into the dealer to get looked over. You are still under warranty so shouldn't be looking at a repair bill for this.
I have owned my 2014 C300 for about half a month, but I don't have a similar experience. Including during the cold weather we're getting up here. If you can consider under 20F cold.
