Headlights are not plug and play!!!!

I own a 2010 and I've been doing research on upgrading to the 2012 style. I found out that the harness looks the same, but the connections inside the plugs are in different positions. I know that I will need a hood and I want a front bumper. I am sharing this for those who are thinking that the conversion is plug and play.... its not.

I own a 2009, and converted to 2012 LCI. I paid almost $400 to have headlights professionally wired and installed. I know I could have done it myself but I wanted to make sure it went as smoothly as possible, with professional work.

User romeo291 did it himself, and I believe there is help somewhere on this forum regarding wiring diagrams.

You will have to buy the wires for the headlight pins to custom arrange them, they were $7 each from my nearby dealership. I had it setup so that the C led is lit when the engine is on.

I had a relay installed too.

good luck.

I'm assuming pins were changed on the male side. Im from the 12 volt installer world. 97 to 2000, but i don't know if I want to this on. crehop installed the big C on his 2009, I wonder if his were plug and play.I will go with the depo black pre face.

Can you expand on how you did this???? There are several threads trying to figure this out and up until now I don't think I've seen anyone do it.

To be honest, as much as I tried to watch the the process, the owner of the shop kept asking me to sit in the lounge because me being there was a liability.

But from what little I did see, and from the questions I was able to ask, I believe the custom wiring was entirely on the car harness side(male). I will try to ask the tech who worked on my car questions.

I didn't do it, I hired a professional to do it. From the absurd amount of money I paid, I think I will be able to get a few answers out of them.

Any other questions you guys have for the tech that did the job? I will be contacting them within a few days to try to answer these questions. Might as well help the community if I paid for it.
