2015/ C250 Sport / mBrace Some Things Work
I picked up a new C250 with mBrace2 and prewired for Becker MapPilot.
- I purchased the Becker MapPilot and installed (No Problems)
Here is what I have found so far after calling and dealing with mBrace several times.
- if you have "MEDIA HEAD 20" there are lots of features that will not work. For instance:
a. Send to Benz (will not work)
b. Download to Benz (will not work)
c. Points of interest download (will not work)
d. WiFi (will not work)
e. MB Apps (will not work)
So this was all disappointing, but better to find out now that I am still in the free trial period.
If these services are important to you, make sure your Benz is equipped with COMMAND.
Now, if you want to have the Concierge service, you can certain pay the base fee for mBrace and the extra 20$ per month to have the Concierge service, but a lot of the functionality will not work. To me it is not worth the extra 20$ for something I can get done with my smart phone.
Also, I checked with the dealer and the Media Head is not something you can upgrade...
