Roof Wrap: Has anyone done it?
Hey guys,
Thinking about wrapping my roof gloss black and doing a 35% tint. I have a white '12 C300. Any thoughts? Here's what my car looks like now.
I've seen several '08-'11s with a black wrap but wasn't too, too, crazy about it. I hope someone on here has some betters photos.
Do you think 35% would work well with the black, or would it be too light?

I think the car in white looks sweet with tinted windows and carbon fibre accents

i think 35% is good It's all on personal preference i was looking to get my windows tinted and looking at 35% as well. as for the roof wrap i think it looks cheep or a cover up for not getting the pano roof lol even though i hate the pano roof. I've seen 2011 and below with it like you and wasn't impressed but again its all personal preference. (if you go on google and search you can find some pictures not the best quality but i found a few by searching w204 roof wrap.)

Ahh, very nice. Do you have any other photos?
So I scheduled the roof and the tint for this upcoming Monday. I'm going with 35%. If I don't like it I guess I can always take off the wrap.

Yes, with the roof I will have to add some carbon fibre... hmm... This is starting to turn expensive! Then if it looks good, it might as well sound good, so an x-pipe would become a necessity that would probably compliment the tune and filters... the cycle continues. Ahh, very nice. I actually want to get mine redone. It was a painful experience the first time and I made them redo it. Saw them using a torch rather than a heat gun in the process. Nothing was tucked in to the crevasses and just looked like crap.
It seems to have dulled a bit...but it's been great protection against paint dripping down from my parking garage :s
I will be going with gloss black for sure on this one.

An update for all: Nothing got done today.
The shop has not yet received their refill of gloss black for the roof, and I switched tint places. Now the tints will be done next Thursday AM, and hopefully the wrap will be ready before then. So disappointing.

Ask and you shall receive!
This looks so damn good with the wrap. The tints will really make it perfect. The car screams for the AMG 18s.
Depending on how it looks after the tints, black mirror covers may be a necessity as well.
Getting worked on:

After this round of mods, I'll be done for a little. I've done tune, filters, roof wrap, tints, wheel caps, front badge, all-weather mats, clear corners, cargo net, and tranny service in about 4 weeks time. That's enough, lol.

Alright guys, here's an update after the tints, new center caps, and a new plate insert for the front.
I did 35% on the side windows and 20% on the back per the installer's recommendation. In CT, 35% is legal for the sides and there's no restriction on the back window. Please excuse the dirty car. This was a quick set of snaps.
There are the new wheels caps. They don't have the blue detailing around the perimeter; it was an eBay purchase as my stock caps were quite corroded. The front plate insert was just the closest thing I could find to a clean black design.
I also have a set of somewhat worn Brabus center caps. I'll try the look when the black Brabus badge comes in. I'm on the fence because the car doesn't have any Brabus parts, so we'll see what happens, but I do want a black hood badge that's not something AMG related.
