A couple questions from a newbie

Folks, I'm a recently new owner of a 2010 C300 Sport and have 2 things I'm considering but was real curious if anyone has knowledge or info or advice. I keep reading about a media interface "plus" that would actually read out text messages from my phone? But I wonder is that only for iphones? If not, is this something I need to purchase from a dealer or can you find them online anywhere? Has anyone used them and have any thoughts about it?

Another question is about replacing the wood trim pieces. One of my pieces is scarred and I'm entertaining replacing the 8 or 9 wood trim pieces with an aftermarket "kit" but wonder how realistic these are and what quality they are. Has anyone done that and could offer any advice on that? Are they simply peel & stick pieces, and is that really a permanent bond? Thanks.

Welcome.
1. I don't think the MIP will read your messages. I believe the only thing it will do is allow you to stream music over Bluetooth, but there are other much cheaper alternatives to that. Search the forums. Here's something to get you started: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...their-car.html

2. I have not seen any aftermarket "kits". I've seen kits to overlay your existing trim, or just stickers to tape on top of your old trim.

Regarding the "After Market Kits" for your w204 interior trim, I have seen some; however, they are very pricey. I would recommend vinyl wrap. It's cheap, reliable, and you get to choose whatever texture/color you desire. That includes carbon fiber.
