2009 C300 4Matic Luxury Wheel Locks

This morning when I walked into the parking garage of my apartment complex I saw that two vehicles (1 new benz, 1 new bmw) had their rims and tires stolen off their cars and were sitting on cinder blocks. Mind you, I have lived here since the end of June and the only thing that has actually occurred besides this was the fire alarm going off at 2:30am for 3 nights in a row. I am now very concerned about my car seeing how this could happen to anyone. Does anyone know if wheel locks to prevent thefts like this automatically come with the car or is this something that has to be purchased separately? Before anyone asks, yes I do have full coverage on my car in terms of insurance but I'd rather not shell out $1000 for the deductible if this were to happen.

Even if you have OE wheel locks- which won't stop determined/experienced thieves- you can still add aftermarket locks, as well (they simply replace another lug nut on each wheel). Those can be easily defeated as well, with the right tools (I'd bet the scum that hit your place have lock-removal sockets), but anything that slows the process means they will often go after an easier victim and leave your car alone.
