Looking for M272 intake manifold removal info
I'll be replacing the intake manifold this weekend on my C350. I have a couple videos but would like some instructions from the factory service manual as well.
I'm also interested in what torx tools I'll need. I think E10 and E12 sockets are needed as well as others.
Anyone know where to find this info?

Here is the part list for gaskets that I ordered from the dealer to do the repair. You can ignore the O-RING TOP and CIRCLIP parts, they were not directly related
Here are the instructions as per WIS The bottom O-RING is for the fuel rails when you re-insert them into the new manifold
You're right about the torx. You'll also need a T30 torx bit, a torque wrench capable of 8nm, and any flat head screwdriver to easily unplug the various electrical connectors. I think that's about it. You might want a pair of helping hands too, the toughest part was keeping most of the wiring harness out of the way when seating the new manifold; the gaskets kept slipping out of place.
Out of curiosity, what was wrong with your manifold?

Much thanks. My intake suffers from typical swirl flap lever breakage. I was going to repair the lever, but realized all the plastics in the manifold are aged and likely brittle as well. Id rather avoid complete engine failure due to it eating a loose swirl flap.
Got a new OEM intake with gaskets and Reinz O-rings off ebay for $517.
I'm used to maintaining and rebuilding old Land Rovers. This should be a breeze.

Did the job yesterday in about 8 hours. Would have been quicker if not for having a cold and being unfamiliar with the engine layout. The hardest part I found was removing electrical connectors without breaking them. Engine seems smoother and power band is wider as expected.
