Self-adaptation of mixture formation for enleanment (P0172/P0175)
Hi,
I'm very new driver. I bought an old mercedes, and driving for 5000 km with her. I'm really like this car. Now, I got 2 problems with my Mercedes W204 - C230/2008 (mileage: 78xxx km).
1. The engine light is ON. The code I got is:
- Self-adaptation of mixture formation for enleanment at idle for the right cylinder bank is below the permissible limit. (P0172)
- Self-adaptation of mixture formation for enleanment at idle for the left cylinder bank is below the permissible limit. (P0175)
- I got this error again after a about 3-4 weeks (after running nearly 1000km). I cleared the error.
- Today, I also scan and see that there is another problem: fuel-pump error, I don't remember the code. But it is very new.
2. AUTO lights inoperative
- This error happening looks like random. At the morning, when I start engine and go for 5-10 km then stop for coffee cup, just stop for about 30 minutes. Then I restart again to continue to go to office, the message is gone.
- Sometime, the message is still there for a long day.
I need your advise. Thanks so much!

It seems these occur together. But this is a nice overview, http://repairpal.com/OBD-II-Code-P0172-and-P0175. Somewhere there is your problem.
I'm not familiar enough with these cars to know what the usual culprits could be.
