Dealer unable to fix a squeaking noise from the engine?? Advise
I have a 2011 C300 4Matic, it just hit 40k miles. There is a squeaking noise coming from the engine on cold start. When the car warms up, the noise disappears. I took it to the dealer, they said I need to have the engine belt, 2 pulleys, and the belt tensioner replaced. I agreed and they fixed it for $400. The noise stopped for about 2 weeks and then came back. I went again, they kept the car overnight again to hear the noise on cold start. They lubricated the belt or the pulleys and they said the noise is fixed. Guess what, the next morning I started the car and the noise is still there! What should I do? Take it in again? Don't worry about it? Please advise on what you would do. Thanks guys!

I'd take it back to them. Since you paid for what was obviously an unnecessary parts replacement I'd ask them to fix it properly...
