How to replace D1S light bulb on W204 with ILS

I have a 2013 C 250 CDI with ILS lights.

I just bought a new set of Osram D1S lights but I cannot manage to get the old bulb out.

How do you remove this?

Twist to the left and pull out. Remove the pin connector carefully as they can be bent pretty easily.

Thumbs up

Thank you.
You were correct.

It was just so tight that I was too scared to twist it with enough power.

Surprisingly there was no plastic ring around the bulb as I have seen on other twisting types. Just a metallic bulb against metal edge of lamp.

Yeah haha I was used to D2S bulbs before I had my car so I ran into the same issue. I should also mention that the pins in the connector can be bent easily, not the wire itself, so use care when removing/installing. Otherwise it's pretty straightforward. Glad you got it figured out!

Let me know the output difference. I replaced my OEM lights with Osram CBI and not sure if it got brighter at all. Might have to put one of each and see the difference.
