First C300
I just bought a 2011 C300 with 59K miles on the clock. Loving the car so far but haven't driven it much. I will keep it stock for a bit but have been reading this forum a bit as to modding it a little.
1. Rear diffuser. Would love to get a fitted unit that doesn't need a ton of work to fit right as I am not much of a mechanic or body work person.
2. Window Tint. Living here in Texas it's going to be a must have.
3. Possible exhaust change. I don't need a race car sound but a bit of a more menacing growl would be nice.
4.HID head lights? Not too sure about this but just starting to read up on it.
5. Front grill. Not that I don't like the grill but I did see a cool all black version on here. Might have to look into that as well.
Any other tips would be welcome.

Welcome! I have had mine about a year as well. Everything is pretty solid. What kind of exhaust sound are you looking for? Youtube has lots of clips, and really you don't need to invest in full exhaust. In terms of the grill, I plasti dipped mine a bit (I have a post as well); w204_generic I believe is selling his old grill, OEM with gloss painted slats.

Congrats and welcome. I have 55K on my C300 without issues.
I agree. If you can't confirm the transmission fluid has been changed (due at 40K), be sure to take care of that. 60K will be plugs along with regular service (oil, etc). Don't skimp on the preventive maintenance. But, then mod away

Yes I have the complete service history of the vehicle and plan to keep up with everything as needed.
I am going to be looking at the carbon fiber or carbon fiber looking rear diffuser first. Changing out the exhaust tips as well.
If someone has a link to a reputable company for the cf diffuser that would be great.

The car looks great! - I also prefer the stock look.
I just got a 2011 C300 4Matic Luxury less than 3 months ago myself. Got a good price, but high mileage (90K on 6 yr old car).
Things I needed were motor mounts, shocks, struts, wipers, and new filters all around.

I have 105,000 on my 2010 and the only mechanical issue I have is with the transmission. Occasionally it slams into gear when going from 4 to 3, especially when it's cold. There are other, random gremlins too. No amount of transmission software updates have helped.
There is also a ticking coming from the engine which has been expected. After a while the carbon buildup on the valves needs to be blasted off with walnut shells.
You may also experience the driver's seat bottom starting to tear along the seam of the left bolster. Happens if you're on the bigger or heftier side.
Another thing I wasn't aware of was that car batteries are good for about 5 years. Shortly after getting my car I would start having issues starting it. I'd turn the key and nothing, not even an attempt to crank. Occasionally an error would pop up on the screen saying the ABS/ESP system was malfunctioning and is disabled. After searching around I learned this happens on cars with complicated electrical systems with a dying battery. After replacing it all problems ceased.
Keep up with regular maintenance and it will be a reliable car.

FWIW, a family member's BMW with the N54 did require walnut shell blasting at 40k miles, but that is a DI motor.

I've heard the carbon issue causes ticking and figured mine was headed that way too. Guess I have some other problem. Maybe it's not the valves and something else. I haven't been able to listen to another M272 engine to see if it's normal.

Dont get carbon diffusor lol too expensive and you only see carbon from up close. I got my difussor on ebay pretty cheap, quad tips little expensive but worth it. Dont forget to remove c300 and 4matic emblems after you install quadtips.
For sound put magnaflow xpipe, 90$ on amazon.

Can I just say how much fun this thing is to drive?
I haven't even put 50 miles on it yet but every time I get to drive I end up with a huge smile.
I can't imagine what the newer coupes are like. Maybe I don't want to either.
