2015 C class ambient lighting
can anyone confirm if you can change colors of the ambient lighting? ive heard you can, but i heard it ranges from 3 to 5 different colors. ive read articles saying the colors are only white, yellow, and red, but then ive seen pictures of the 2015 c class with blue ambient lighting. so which one is it because im a bit confused?

I'm sure it's based as the default three colors. Blue, Amber, and White. Would make no sense for them to decide to swap red and blue in terms of cost efficiency. Maybe in the future.

None of those colors go with the red seats unfortunately - I guess you can always fall back to white, but then it really doesn't look like anything special. They should have included red ambients.

i have a white exterior as well and the white interior might match better anyway.
any advice?

blue ambient with the red might be a pleasing contrast. i wouldn't base your entire color (interior/exterior) choice on what color is available in the "ambient lighting"! that's just icing. it'll look cool no matter what you choose. even the white on a very low/subtle setting with ANY color would work...
the interior package gives you so much more than ambient lighting. to me, that's just a "show off" feature. very nice indeed, but I would take everything else more close to heart that what color the ambient lighting is. leather, ventilated seats, illuminated sills? THAT's ALL awesome stuff. that adds up to more than what a color "mismatch" MIGHT happen. don't sweat the small stuff
hopefully you're not spending $2300 just for interior illumination is all I'm saying

I got the piano black. It attracts dust unfortunately.
So I have a ultra soft microfiber towel in the car to remove the dust.
When clean - the black really shines.

Yeah I decided to switch to the ash as well. I'm messy enough as it is lol. I just hope its not too delicate where it can get damaged easily being an unfinished wood

I ordered my c250 amg kit 2 days ago with piano black and black leather seats, I have to wait till november to get.So can I call them back and tell them to change it to black ash wood? Or is too late .but will it suit with black leather or will it be too dark? Sorry for the trouble.

The real question is how long before the light dies and how much to replace it !!!

LED lighting so I would imagine likely the life of the car. Under optimum condition LEDs should last roughly 50k hours, so let's say you get really bad conditions and only get 20k hours. It could be 20 years before problems.

2015 C300
I realized with the U.S. C300 package, it is different color package than the ones for Europe. We don't have blue here, it's more of an "aqua" lighting, "light orange" and full on "orange" lighting I really wish we had blue to replace the "light orange" color.

MBWorld Fanatic!
BTW., the ambient lighting system in the GLA offers 12 color options!
And I'm getting the Cranberry Red interior. I plan on using the Blue Ambient Light in mine.

Here in uk 3 colours are white Amber and polar blue.
I only ever use polar blue.
White doesn't do anything for me and the amber I don't really like, luckily I really like the blue! Shame tho there aren't more colours to choose from, doesn't the CLA have a lot more choices I read somewhere.
