would it be better to wait until early 2015?

i really was hoping to get this car at launch but after my original dealer screwed up my order (now looking at a november delivery), i wonder if i should just wait another few months until early 2015.

by then:
-i would be able to get a c300 RWD which would save me around $3k. i dont really care much for 4matic, rwd would be good enough.

-the 360 camera will also be offered/included in the multi-media pack after they sort out the glitch.

-discounts would probably be easier to negotiate

-the coupe might even be out, which is what i originally wanted. i love the sedan also but if i had my preference id go with the coupe since im a single guy and dont need the extra space.

a few months feels like an eternity, so i dont really want to wait that much longer, but at the same time i already waited THIS long, so im wondering if maybe id be better off just waiting until 2015. does anybody have an idea of when some of these things might happen?

Yep, I'm doing exactly that, since negotiating discounts are really hard when the car comes out, especially when its going to be in high demand. Looks like the coupe & convertible maybe coming out early next year & also the C63 sedan. Test drove the C300 4matic fell in love, but the leases are coming a little too expensive right now, so i will wait until Jan-March and snag a good deal.

I am waiting too. My sales guy is going to work a deal for me to get the c400 rwd. I already have a c350 rwd so no need for me to get 4Matic. Less weight the better and by then discounts should be good.

Have you guys been to autotrader.com and check out C400 4matics at dealers. The prices are not as bad as people are claiming. I seen a few c400 4matics as low as $54,595. A RWD would be even cheaper.

I would wait. Also gives a little longer to debug production & get exactly what you want. I would not drag around all that 4Matic gear unless you need it. I have a bias due to my local market however where the cars retain value a lot better than the US. Here, registering in the new year makes a large difference to resale value. So my recommendation comes with that caveat.

i would wait until early 2015, but not fall of 2015. when are these changes supposed to happen? being that i wont take delivery until november anyway it wouldnt be a big deal to wait until feb/march the latest. but if its longer than that i will just get it now

Does anyone have reliable information that a C400 rwd model will be available in the US? I have been told that only the C300 will be available with rwd.

There are no plans for a RWD C400 at this present time. A mistake IMO, but they won't sell many C400s at the price they're asking so I guess MBUSA doesn't see the point. IMO, the only way to get them to offer one is to flood MBUSA with requests for a RWD C400.
