C300 RWD orders now USA...
At least here, on Saturday morning they opened the RWD orders/allocations for 'first decade of February build'. It's a bit later than many had hoped, but at least it's possible to do now. If need contact info in FL, lemme know.

2015 C300 RWD
Dealer had computer shot of all upcoming C. There's no 2016 thru the Fall anyhow (next fall) Before then we have C63 March something, didn't memorize it. Targets shown on Netstar for diesel and a plug in hybrid C. And why would you think in October of 2014 you can order a 2016, before the 2015 RWD has been made? You should check with your dealer for more info.

Quality. It is almost inevitable (there have been a few exceptions) that the entry level quality of a new model is below the exit of the prior model. During the first year of volume production of a new model (especially in a new plant), Engineering implements changes as they go, presuming Manufacturing can contain them, when possible, but Engineering Change Notices (CNs) are often accumulated for implementation at V1 of the following year, especially when part tooling revision is required. The historical industry data shows second year quality almost always exceeds the first year.

I'd be interesting in hearing about some AWD vs RWD reviews
the car must feel so different in corners and such

I wouldn't count on the handling being much different aside from being able to powerslide it with the traction control off. It should be faster though making 0-60 in the low sixes high 5's. Nice!

I just placed my order for a C300 Luxury RWD. Production is scheduled for first decade in January. I had previously heard it would be February.

It must be one of the first RWD models. I'm always concerned about being too early in production but the only difference is the RWD. I hope for the best.
Now, I need to put my 2104 GLK 350 on the market. It is a great car but doesn't fit my wife and me as much as the C Class sedans

2015 C300 RWD
The W205 has been in production for quite a few months, RWD in all markets except US and Canada. I'm hoping the learning curve has had a chance to level off...some.
First week Feb delivery time would depend on your dealers distance from Vance Alabama. If on east coast you're likely to see it in Feb. good luck! I have one ordered as well.

2015 C300 RWD
Any updates Jim? My dealer (citing slice) said there isn't a first decade January, or 3rd decade December as factory closed. He showed his screen that no RWD til Feb. MB seems to have so many discrepancies.

My confirmation clearly shows first decade January for production. The week before it was shown to be first decade February so something must have changed. My order was entered this past Saturday.
Have your salesman re-check production schedules.

I just checked my confirmation and it shows C300W with the correct price, for a RWD, at $38,400.
I also eMailed my salesman to have him re-confirm the date.

2020 CLA 250 4Matic Black
4Matic version 4.0 is integrated into the transmission and works with the ABS, ETS and has a three differential system setup. The weight penalty between 99 - 150lbs. The SUVs are the heavier setups. If you look at the EPA mileage ratings of 4Matic and non its like -1mpg city and highway.
IMO to remove all that technology for $2000 is not a real savings.
BTW....did someone change the definition of Decade, I thought it used to mean a period of 10 years.
For some of the folks on here it seems to be taking that long to get delivery of a W205

Thanks Jim, I asked and low and behold could get a second decade January quot. thanks greatly for the info!
Yea, the decade is what their system refers to a 10 day period, 3 decades a month. Often dealers give customers a specific date, but it's not known until very close or at build....my understanding. It seems they're not consistent.

I heard from my salesman. He re-checked MB and they have slipped my first decade RWD car to the second decade. There was no explanation for the shift. This could be a good thing, depending upon when they re-start production after the holidays. I would hate to get a first build after the plant shutdown with workers just coming back from holidays.

For what it's worth, I just received the written confirmation indicating my car is to be assembled on 15 January. That should be a good build date and it is on a Thursday.
