NEED INFO ON C205 WAGON
As we are retired and want to have 1 comfortable all purpose vehicle the best solution is the coming C205 wagon. Have seen pics on the forum. It sounds like the wagon is in production in Europe.
When will we see it in the U.S.A.? Where will it be built? Appreciate any info you can post on this.

The correct technical term for the Estate is S205. (It might make it easier for you to search for info) Sorry to say, that I dot not have any info for you in regards to potential US release. I hope someone else can help you with that.
But i can concur, that the Estate offers a most excellent choice for a traditional luxury allrounder. Seating space for 4, is almost as good as an E-class. The rear seat headroom is substantially better in the Estate compared to the Sedan. Entry to the rear seats is perhaps not optimal for an elderly person, but it is not bad either. (you can test this with the Sedan also, as it is identical) The level of comfort with Airmatic and 17" wheels (not run flat tires) is truly commendable for Mercedes.
Luxury in the midsize Estate Class seems hard to come by these days. Audi or BMW does not offer true luxury like you get with this model. Crossovers and Mini SUV dominate the segment more and more. Personally I do not care for small SUV's or Crossovers in comparable size. They come across to me, as more to the Feminine side. In my opinion, the traditional Estate retains an equal share of masculine and feminine traits.
Some Computer created images from our build order below. We went for a traditional, comfort and feel good oriented build. We did also go with the Crystal Grey roof lining. (as seen in the last image) For some reason the roof lining came out black in these images, and the software is apparently limited to show the rear interior as Sedan only.

S205 Wagon/Estate
Great pics & info. Thx. Outstanding interior. The color and the wood really set it off. Could you tell me what this combination is?

Eilers, thanks for pics and info, it's a seems people here are hooked on SUV and crossovers. You mentioned the ride without run flats, does the estate have spare? Any idea what tires they're running?

Wagon with the C250 Bluetec option would be awesome...6.6s 0-62mph, AND 55mpg!

The fact that one's available in the estate is already great. Means that there is less worry once the runflats are switched out for normal tires where the spraycan option can't help.

The interior is Exclusive/Luxury, Silk Beige/Espresso(Brown) with MB Tex.
Wood trim is Linden wood (standard with exclusive interior trim in Europe)
In Europe there is also an Avantgarde line, interior and exterior. The interior Avantgarde line, also offers Silk Beige, but with black and not Brown interior. Some might prefer black to brown, but the down side is that with Avantgarde, there is no leather dash. The carpets are black and so is the back of the front seats. This makes the cabin feel less airy, even with the Pano sun roof.
Original color coded velour mats and rubber mats in silk beige can be ordered seperate.
There is also a nice Brown Ash open pore wood trim option, that goes well with the espresso brown interior. In real life we did however much prefer the standard Linden wood. It sets off a nice contrast as you also noted. The brown Ash was really nice to the touch, and looked more upscale then the laqured Linden wood, but it made it all just a bit a bit too brown and dull.
The Espresso brown and Beige interior goes well (in our opinion) with black, brown, white, blue, and red exterior paint. (and to some degree with silver)
I particularly liked the 890 Cavansite Blue because is can appear almost flat like the Blue Enamel paint used in the olden days. It is only up close you really see the metallic effect. The blue and brown also looks really really nice together.

No spare wheel, only that emergency kit with the foam and pump.
I might be wrong, but i think run flats means much less comfort. especially for non low profile tires.
The standard tire profile for this car, with 17" is 50 aspect ratio, and 50 is not defined as a low profile tire.

My past experience suggests to me that the decision to import the C250BT wagon would be first contingent upon MBUSA agreeing to it and secondly MB Canada.

Apparently the head of AMG says that a C63 wagon is not out of the question for the US, if there's sufficient interest.... Still, I think it'd be hard to make a business case for the regular C-class wagon (unfortunately).

They are here in Japan. The dealer told me they are made exclusively in Germany.
If I needed just one, all-purpose vehicle I wouldn't hesitate to get one.

The wagon is gorgeous, but MBUSA has already stated that the C Wagon is not coming to the U.S. They said this a while ago. All of you that want one here in the U.S. should contact MBUSA for real, they might relent and offer it for 2016 or 2017.
