Does it have one? I see there's a small translucent plate in the top left (right for those with LHD), but no matter what I do with the interior light switches, it doesn't want to light up.

Duff bulb or fuse? I haven't tried prising it off to have a look-see as it's dark.

That's a thought. No I didn't. Will give that a whirl tomorrow. But I'd have thought it'd come on when the normal interior lights do, or actually, all the time given glove compartments tend to be dark gloomy places at the best of times.

I opened my glove box earlier to get something out during the day and big round light came on (UK) model

The glove box light comes on when the glove box door is opened in my C400.
