Up to 11,400 miles. Average 24mpg C400.
Just returned from a trip to Italy. An E Class Taxi dropped us at our apartment. 2 years and 4 months old. It had 397,500 km (248,400 miles). The driver said he was half done before he would normally replace it. Just normal maintenance he claims.

Bought my C400 on Dec. 7th and as of today has just over 2,800 miles on it. Averaging about 20.2MPG, however my daily commute is stop and go city traffic and I tend to have a bit of a lead foot.

Wow!! I am awaiting delivery of my c300 hybrid but I am really concerned regarding the low mpg results that everyone is getting. My previous car was an f30 bmw 320d. With a very heavy lead foot I would easily get 40-45 mpg.

C300 4matic with 12,300 miles. Purchased on 10/12/2014. It's my daily driver and spend 80-90% on the freeway so the mpg would be a little better than those who spend a great deal of their time in the city or in traffic. Gets around 30-33 mpg on average per tank.

C300 4Matic. After 1900 miles in daily commute (20 miles each way 13 miles generally at 60-65 mph; 7 miles at stop and go). I drive econ almost exclusively. Use premium (91+ octane). My long term average is 28.6 MPG. However, lately, with less traffic I am getting between 30 and 32 mpg (each way).

Everyone seems to be getting better mpg than I am.. 1/23 pick up, C400, 2860 miles, 18.8 mpg
Granted, I always turn off auto start/stop, do about 50/50 city/highway, and am usually in sport mode (but don't really drive aggressively).

Are you using premium? I had my car in for work and the dealer gave me a loaner. Doing the same commute, I had worse mpg. He initially gave me half a tank. When I refilled with premium, my mpg went up materially (10 percent give it take)

To compare, my 335i is rated at 17/26, 20 combined. I've been getting 20.6 over the past yr. The ML is rated at 17/22, 19 combined and that's just about what it's getting as well. Note that I'm just going by what the trip computer tells me vs. manually recalculating. The C400 is rated at 21/29, 24 combined and is getting 18.8 over the lifetime.
All are driven on similar roads with similar city/highway ratios. The BMW actually gets driven the most spiritedly, relatively speaking. I guess I could see what happens if I keep auto start/stop on and only use Comfort mode for the next fill up.. but boy, that sounds painful as I have a fear (perhaps unwarranted?) of the long term impacts on the engine due to restarting itself over and over..

2015 C220 AMG Premium Plus Estate (S205)
My car is now 7100 miles, run in comfort with start stop on all the time, and I've got an average of 47mpg (British) from new. I do a 50/50mix of motorway and urban, with bike racks permanently on the roof. As you can see, it's steadily improved over time.
And the interesting thing about this graph is, you can see exactly when the DPF regions have happened.
