What do you keep in your car to clean the head unit screen?

Just bought the car and am thinking about the best way to clean that big screen. What do folks here keep in the car do that?

Also, any suggested products for removing bird droppings until the next wash?

I just use an old microfiber sunglasses pouch to clean the screen when dusty.

As for bird droppings I use Griot's Garage Spray-on Car Wash to help spot clean between actual washes.

A couple of years ago I bought I woman's make-up brush. The handle is about 6" long and the super soft brush is about 1" wide. Sort of embarrassing buying it in CVS! But I still use it today in my MB and it works great.

Thank you. A brush is a great idea. I am curious about what led you to leave Lexus/Toyota.

I just got bored with them..no excitement when driving. On the plus side, I only saw the inside of the dealership during scheduled maintenance visits.

Interesting. I also think the tech in Lexus is not as advanced as in Mercedes, especially the C. I have always conjectured that this is intentional on Lexus's part. I think Lexus cares more about reliability than having the latest tech.

Our GS300 was in the shop more than my Ford 6.0 diesel between problems and recalls. They even had to rering the engine.

No..it would have been too much more information if I included the "discussion" my wife and I had after she saw it in my car!

+1 for the sunglasses microfiber cloth. Though the make up brush would be a cool conversation piece.

Pete, it sounds like our history in cars similar. If MB had their QC and reliability up to snuff, OR Lexus had more exciting cars and tech, there wouldn't be much of a need for both.

Big Screen stays clean...BUT...

My big screen stays clean...BUT...my interior center console that is "piano black" lacquer gets SO DUSTY.

You can see it in my video footage. I keep a static-free towlette with me, but the dust particles always return.

Take a look at my car review, I have very few complaints.

Damp (not wet) microfibre cloth. Dust detailing brush for any crannies. No need for products or anything fancy on the screen as its never touched so just needs something to remove surface dust.

I use this to keep the car nice (though I have many more products); http://www.autobritedirect.co.uk/ind...arter-kit.html
