2015 C400 vs 2014 E350 (Facelift)
Hey guys,
I've read through these comparison threads, but they seem to be mostly in the E-class section. Recognizing that opinions there may have some bias, I thought I'd ask the C400 owners as well.
In terms of ride quality and cabin quality (not just design), what do your experiences tell you about the new 2015 C400 vs the facelifted 2014 E350?
Thanks in advance!

Ride quality is not as nice in the C400 as in the 2014 E350. As you go upscale on MB cars you'll notice the solidity of the car gets better for each model. E class felt very solid as the C class felt very rough (S class is at top notch). My wife's C400 does not have air suspension so I can only state this on a base model vs base model level. My suggestion would be to drive them both and see how you feel through your own experience

I am coming from a person who previously owns a W204. Test driven both and ended up with the E class instead. Although you do miss out on quite a number of new bells and whistle which came along with with C class, the ride on the E class totally makes up for it. However, the C class is still a truly amazing car.

I have both cars, and got them within weeks of each other. The gap between the W204 and the E350 was large. Now? Not so much at all. The edge still goes to the E class for refinement, but the C Class clearly is close, maybe too close for comfort, which to me speaks of the escalation in the C Class brand. I am expecting the new E will be a big jump from the C Class when it is released.

I have test driven both 2014 E350 and 2015 C300 and ride quality for E is better, no doubt, but from a personal preference, E looks aged. again looks are highly subjective and just my opinion.

I agree about the sedan, although my wagon gets a lot of compliments, I think it works better, this angular style, as a wagon IMO.

Just looked up E wagon and have to agree Wagon looks much nicer than sedan, with E sedan the rear was just left out from the mid cycle refresh. I have no complaints for the front of E sedan and I think that is the reason Wagon looks looks much nicer and blends in very well with the refresh done on the front. Again not trying to offend any E sedan owners, this is all personal preference.

2015 C3004W
A week ago I turned in a leased 2012 E3504W and bought a 2015 C3004W. I actually think the ride is better in the C300. The tech in the E is dated in comparison. The C300 lacks the feeling of interior spaciousness that the E had but I prefer driving a smaller car. The C is the right size for me. The trunk in the C is smaller but big enough and the back seat folds down very easily. I actually prefer the C. When the new E comes out the current E will imo look really dated. Before the 2012 E350 I had a W204. I felt every bump in that car which is what led me to the E. However, the new C handles bumps in the road better than my 2012 E. I don't really understand that given the smaller wheelbase but that is my personal experience fwiw.

i have a 2012 E550 coupe with 18" E63 rims.. 9" fronts and 9.5" rears.. riding on mich A/S 3 245/275. No other suspension mods.
My coupe handles better but the ride is a bit more harsh than my C400. But not BMW harsh or Audi. Still very pleasant to drive.. but for long distance, the C400.
The ride in the C400 is softern than my coupe even with my 19" wheels and steel suspension. Also includes the Pirelli Run Flats.
Next step is to remove run flats to Michelin or Continentals that are softer.. run 235 up front and increase the rears to 255/40. This would completely make the C400 just perfect.

Where did you hear July for the c450? My dealer said its all rumors. I am planing on getting one, the c300 optioned out is same as base c400 with airmatic, full led and 19" - i figure ~$5k more for c450 is good value so I might drop my current order.
