3M VentureShield Installed
No more stone chips for me.
Just got it back from have the whole front end including the headlights and side mirrors installed. The film is 6th gen and yes i can still wax and polish it without worrying that it will go yellow. The yellow problem was on the 1st and 2nd Gen films.
Very please with the finish the film is very clear and you really don't know its there. Got to be one of the best investments i made so far with this car.

Only if you know what you are looking for can you tell its there. Showed it my friends and family none could tell it was there until i pointed it out them.
Cost was £499 by http://www.invisiblepatterns.co.uk/index.html in Warrington. Great service, very helpful.

Just give them a call if you have any questions.
Really worth having it done especially if you are one of them person like me who likes keep your car clean and in top condition all the time. Normal people walking pass when ever know it was there. There is no orange peel at all.

I'll definitely look at it. I've had my car a month and there's one stone chip already. Needs painting and polishing before I wrap it.

I plan on having some sort of "Clear Bra" installed on my ordered 2015 C300 before I drive it off the dealership's lot. I love this type of paint protection, and have had good experiences with it on the last 4 cars I've owned, although I've never had it installed on the headlights themselves...might try that this time around.
My wife had it installed on her 2014 BMW 328i for $600...and that included a strip on the top portion of the rear bumper below the trunk opening.

The 3M website shows VenturaShield , ScotchGuard & ScotchGuard PRO being good to best.

Anyone know if is worth the extra money to go with the self-healing S. Pro??

Just curious.. I've never had one of these film based products applied, what do they do with the parking sensor - do they just cut out the film over the sensors?

Yes they cut around the sensors, then apply a small film on the inner circle of the sensors if that makes any sense.

I did a lot of research on Paint Protection Film. Recently, I installed a full front end on my 2016 Acura MDX (white) and it turned out pretty good.
I will be honest and say that 3M Ventureshield is not the best option out there, but it's still way better than nothing. 3M has 3 different products: VentureShield, Scotchgard and Scotchgard Pro Series. They are listed in order of worst to best.
The industry favorite is currently XPel Ultimate film with Scotchgard Pro being not too far behind.
Note: My first post on this forum - joined recently, doing some research as I am thinking of getting a C450 in the fall

RRP price is £499 for the standard kit. I did quite bit of research before hand and called around 4 different installers around my area 1 wanted £400 just for the front bumper and the other wanted £700!
Later i found out that 2 of the installers could do it anyway because they it not have the template of my car for the computer to cut the shapes out. Anyway i later managed find a installer in Warrington who could make the patterns for my car and went with them. Must stay i'm very happy so far will the finish film is very clear so far everyone i showed can't tell its on there.

VENTURESHIELD (GOOD)
VentureShield is an 8 mil thick top-coated paint protection film that installs without any orange peel, giving your car a glossy look. Because it is not clear-coated, VentureShield requires ongoing cleaning to maintain its clear and glossy appearance. It is warrantied for material only by 3M Company for five (5) years, but not against yellowing.
