Canadian discounts?
Hey guys,
I am seeing all the American and European members talking about HUGE discounts off MSRP???
Am I the only one not seeing these high discounts in Canada? I went to 3 dealerships before making my purchase and all of them were very tight on discounting an ordered car.
Would love to know how my other countrymen made out??

Hey E3
I definitely didn't get a huge discount. But I didn't finance. I leased the car for 39/mo. The biggest promo we have currently in my area is 3 first months paid.
I also went to 3 dealers. All 3 very close to the same price.

Thx for the reply guys,
Yea I got about the same...
3k off + 3 mths payments ($1350) so $4350 off MSRP of 60k = A lil over 7%.
I guess decent for a custom order. PLUS i got them to discount the tinting 30%
I was worried that I was getting played after seeing all the U.S discounts.
Feel a bit better now...

Key factor is majority of the dealers here (GTA) are all corporate stores.
If you want a good deal your best option is private dealer and something they have in their inventory.
I was able to secure 8.44% off on financing deal without the 3 payment waiver. With payment it's coming to be nearly 10-11%
So it is possible.

Anybody know how long the 3-month payment waiver is for? Is it for the full year or on a month-to-month basis?
Wondering if it'll still be around in the fall when I go hunting for a C450

Wow Darshan that is an amazing deal. Well done!
Ya the incentives will change in June as new models begin to roll out (c450)
But who knows they may get better......
The '3 month payment waiver' is basically another $1350 off the car. They give you $450 discount @ delivery & about a month later they direct deposit another $900

I got 9.5% off factoring all discounts back in March when they have special promotion. 39 M lease rate 2.9% at that time.

which dealership did you go to to get the best price? I went to the one in Vancouver terminal and they said discount of $1000 only for cash purchase and 1200 for finance. Didn't ask them about lease though.
Thanks Guys and Gals!

As part of the CETA (Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement) with EU, the 6.1 percent tax that is slapped on European cars is going to be lifted.
If all the EU countries accept the trade, the earliest this agreement goes forward and implemented is 2016.
EDIT: It seems like this is the exact figures
CETA will eliminate existing EU tariffs:
- passenger vehicles (10 per cent)
- auto parts (as high as 4.5 per cent)

I went to the main and terminal one as well.. A friend of mine has been in the sales department for many years and made sure I got a good discount.
If you need a contact there or want to guarantee a higher discount PM me and I will give you his information.
