Wheel Spacers?

I have a c300 4matic and recently purchased Vogtland Sport Springs. I have the 18inch AMGs with the sport package and looking for the flush/square setup. What size spacers are you guys running or suggest? I read that anything above 5mm in the front would be too much and 12mm is common for the rears. Don't have much experience with wheel spacers and would appreciate your guy's help!

I believe both statement are true. The wheels you have right now are not square..... Right? 8 1/2" wide rear and 7 1/2" front"

yes true...I guess what i mean is i want it to sit flush with the edge of the tire and the wheel well. My concern is with the drop, the wheels will tend to be inverted more. I'm thinking 5mm front and 10mm rears with the stock 18inch amgs?

That could look good. Most will warn you when doing spacers but I tend to like them. Just be careful if having it serviced at the dealer. If you have alignment or bearing issues they will/can blame it on the combination of the two. I have the same springs and my dealer is not going to give me any flac but I purchased wheels that turned out to all the way to the fenders with no room to spare. I tried to be proactive with my dealer. We will see.....

I am not a pro at all at this, but my once foray with spacers on my CLK350 cabriolet was not encouraging. The wheels looked super awesome, the car drove awesome, but then I developed wobbling in steering at above 65mph that no one was able to cure. I sold that car at a big discount and vowed never to use spacers again.

I guess can wait to see how the car sits after the springs settle. Still don't understand why our cars come with so much wheel gap.

if you must must use, then make sure, to buy them 'hub centric'. Lug centric are recipe for disaster. In my case, I had hub centric and even then one of the axle bolts broke off, I don't even know when and how. I was left with a pretty car, out of warranty, and always the worry to stop over every 100 miles or so and checking to make sure the wheel lugs were tight (and as a matter of fact even there

I'll try to dig some pictures of it.

thanks I definitely will. i was thinking of going with the h&r trak kit, i believe that is hub centric. Im curious to know how it will look with the springs, hopefully i might not even need spacers. your clk fitment with the spacers looks good.
