Keyless-Go Lock/Unlock Failure on all doors
The lock and unlock function of Keyless-go failed on my September built C400. It doesn't work to lock or unlock any of the doors. When I first touch a door handle I can hear a noise under the hood, but nothing happens. The key is recognized inside the car and it will start. I changed the battery on both keys and it still doesn't work. Pressing the lock or unlock button on the key works fine. It had been flawless until today.
I've read many cases of intermittent keyless-go problem, but not total consistent failure. The good news, I guess, is that it will be much easier to diagnose a complete failure. The dealer will be able to easily verify the issue.
Added information- Although the key is recognized inside the car and the push button starts the car, it only works when the key is near the steering wheel. If the key is in my pocket, it is not recognized. I tried putting the key on the passenger seat and then the rear seat. It was not recognized and the car wouldn't start. Same situation with both keys with new batteries.

This is an odd one. I've had intermittent failures, but it always came back and worked fine. You have to get this to your dealer ASAP.

sometimes my car says the key is not detected, and the only way for me to start the car is to put it into the ignition and crank it manually, having my dealer look into it

Update
My keyless-go failure was apparently a software issue.
From work order: "Performed keyless-go control unit update."
Everything is working fine now.
Interestingly, there was also a service campaign for "205 headlamp aim" that I didn't know about. I hadn't noticed any problems. It is service campaign 2015050002. The work order says "performed headlamp 2015050002 installed headlamp cap as required." It was part number 2 000-997-22-95.
I have the lighting package.

I was at the dealer yesterday for something not related but I mentioned the keyless-go issue and I was told about the updated software was available, schedule for next week to get it updated as well to get my door led fixed which is now purple and fading vs the rest.

My keyless entry and keyless go stopped working after 10 months with no problem then started working again two weeks later
