Hi all, I've just moved up the W205 from a W204 and have a query on sat nav's. I have a C180 diesel auto avant-garde which does not have sat have fitted. Nor do I seem to have the socket for the sim card in the arm rest. I rang the dealer and they suggested that there might be a connection in the glove box similar to the Becker system which was available for the W204.


Can anybody tell me if it is possible to retrofit a sat nav to the car and if so what are my options?.

You need to buy the Nav DVD then. You can get it from your dealer - steer clear of eBay etc.

Don't I need to have the sat nav installed or does the DVD allow access to information without this. I was under the impression that the DVD was only to upgrade the system, I'm confused

No Razzyh no SD card slot, just two USB ones. Checking the spec I did notice that the following codes are listed as being fitted.


270 GPS antenna and
522 Audio 20 navigation capable NTG5


I wonder if it might be wired for the SD slot and if a retrofit for the panel might be possible?. I also wondered if the Becker map pilot might be an option although I don't see the cradle in the glove compartment.

I thought they all had the slot and you simply add the SD card for navigation.

As you can see (if the photo uploads) the two USB slots are much further apart than yours.
