Got great news today
MBUSA has approved my claim to take my car back. This is not a lemon law as they have told me this would require us going to court.
I do not have the full details as I am waiting for the selling dealer to call me but I was given 2 options.
1. Lease another MB vehicle (doesn't have to be C) and get some or all money back, dollar about TBD.
2. Return the car to the dealership, the lease is terminated with no fees but no monetary compensation given.
I'm going with option 1 as at this point between down payment and monthly payments I'm into the car for about $9,000 and even if they give me half its still a good deal.

But any car can be a lemon. I had a 2005 CLK550 Cabriolet once that Mercedes took back after it couldn't be fixed. It had to be towed back to the dealership three times. The third time, they tried to fix it for 2 weeks, then they just gave up. I upgraded it to an SL500, which I adored. I wish I still had that one.
Have you decided what you're going to get as replacement?

Glad your dealer and MB-USA came through for you. I had a similar deal on my first C300, where they picked up most of the depreciation with a combination of cash and an extended warranty. (Purchase, not lease.)

I'm very curious how this is going to go down on a lease. What they are going to offer me cash wise and if it goes directly to the dealer for the new lease or they cut me a check
