Since day one this car has an up shift delay from 2nd to 3rd gear only when car is cold. Very noticeable and annoying. I back off the accelerator just before the gear shift in order to a get a quiter shift. Dealer acknowledged problem on 1st visit and made update to computer and said it was fixed. I found no change and took car back and dealer says can't duplicate problem. I think they didn't have a solution and took the easy way out. the problem continues. I have 6k miles on car now. Anyone else have an answer for this problem?

Make sure the dealer put down on the work order that they updated your transmission. A lot of times they say they did but they do not. If it has the employee that performed the update on the work ticket then they most likely did the update otherwise They probably did not do the update.

The up shift delay - do you mean you step onto gas peddle but it has ~1 second delay before it reacts? That happens on my car and I consider it turbo lag. Otherwise, I do not understand what people were talking about the shift delay.

I think he means that when the engine is cold and he starts driving then in the first 10 meters there is a noticeable shift delay. I have the same thing. Makes you feel like something is amiss.
