So Benz 2 is back at dealers, I am in the Bay Area, not particularly cold this morning, went to get breakfast and 5 min later engine light and loss of power, checked fluids, temp all ok, drove back home,

Towed to dealer for them to see tomorrow. No mods on engine or pedal.

happened on my car. cracked plug.

I had the misfire message a few years back on my BMW 335i - it turned out to be bad fuel (water or other gunk in the gas). The dealer cleared the message and put a fuel additive/conditioner in. After running through a fresh tank of gas, I never got the message again. It could be as simple as that OR it could be a bad plug, bad plug wire, etc.
