Exclamation P2099 Service Engine Code

Hi everyone,

The service engine light recently came on with my C450. I plugged in an OBD2 scanner and it came up with this code:

P2099
Post Catalyst Fuel Trim
System Too Rich Bank 2

Has anyone had this happen and should I be concerned? I reset it and it hasn't come back yet so will see what happens.

Thanks in advance!

Guess I'm the only one.... Well so far it hasn't reappeared so hopefully it was just a misreading of a sensor.

Update: the service light was still randomly coming on and going off occasionally so finally brought it into the dealer and they told me they reflashed a module. Will see if it comes back. Hopefully not!

Well a year later and another deal visit and still having this problem, they keep blaming winter fuel mixture.

Any suggestions on what I should do next? Insist that they replace the sensors?

I have the same error on my GLK 350, 2012 year. Was it ever resolved?
Thanks.

I have a 2018 c43 with stage 2 AMR tune. I keep throwing this code. No signs of exhaust leak. I changed both the pre and post cat (downpipe) sensor and the exhaust gasket. Next thing is to swap out the air filters with OEM ones and clean the MAF sensor. Have you had this code thrown all because of dirty filters?
