C43 AMG on UK configurator
The C43 AMG is on UK configurator, with 9G and optional AMG selectable exhaust. It's kinda disappointing that MB did this. The C450 is a great car but it's just too bad that it only lasted for one model year like the C400

There are 6 modes : Individual, Comfort, Eco, Sport, Sport+ and Race.
But....only the c63S has Race. It allows more slip on the special electronically assisted differential only installed on that model.

Same as the German site, but I've seen he and others claim "unique C43 wheels" in multiple posts. I've never gotten a response when trying to identify the "unique" wheels, so I'm genuinely curious if I'm just missing something.

2016 C450
The optional exhaust on the UK C43 is the exact same setup as we have standard here on our cars in North America. There is no button on the console like the C63. If you choose not to get it in the UK, it just means that your car will be quiet all the times, more like the C400. The exhaust standard in USA and Canada, optional in the UK. The "ONLY" differences between the C43 and the C450 (other than badges) are the 9G tranny and the slight difference in torque split 69/31 vs 67/33

Technology marches on...there's always going to be something "new and improved" that we wished we waited for. Sooner or later, you have to stop looking too far ahead, get what suits you now and then enjoy it. For all we know (and PLEASE, this is just a "what if"), the C43 may only last a year. For MY2018, they may decide to drop in a twin-turbo V8 and call it the C45. Who knows?
When VCRs first came out, I researched the best model with the most features and that had the highest Consumer Reports ratings. When I finally decided to buy it, I discovered that it was already out of production and had been replaced. Like I said, technology marches on....

That's not what the C450 has, regardless of the lack of a button like in the C63. Not saying it will materialize, just saying there is conflicting information between the MB website descriptions and the lack of a button on the early model pics we have seen.

All I can say is that it was not worth it to have gotten the very first batch of C450s in the states. Took Sept 2015 delivery and MB didnt even release the night package option until AFTER I took delivery..and now this lol however, there was one plus, I had gotten most of the Premium 2 packages as standard when I ordered in the first batch.

I don't care about the tranny either and am perfectly happy with my recent C450 purchase. Personally I think it's wrong for MB to be marketing the C43 as an AMG when it's no more a 'real' AMG than a C450. Seems like false advertising to me unless the definition of 'AMG' has changed.

they basically changed the definition of AMG because AMG-Sport wasn't getting much traction. Its easier to just market AMG anyway.
I don't think its such a big deal, I mean as one of my friends said, all the car guys know which AMG is the "better" one, and regular people don't even know the difference between different model benzes anyway.
I suppose we all know an M4 GTS is better than an M4 or a AMG black is better than a non black series. But we are all car guys. regular people think every m4 is a 4 series or a "bmw coupe thing"

I'm not up in arms about it. I'm not an AMG owner so I have no horse in this race anyway. Actually, on further reflection, who am I to say what's wrong? I know nothing about the state of their business. Therefore, I retract my earlier statement and am back to not caring in the slightest. I love my car and that's the only thing that matters.
