Non-Run Flat Tire
To any of you folks who have replaced your run-flats with standard tires, what brand/model did you go with and did you opt for an inflator or some sort of spare & jack? Has anyone had any issues? I hate the run flats and can't wait to get rid of them. They are harsh riding and noisy and represent the one issue with my car that I am most dissatisfied with (now that the acoustic glass has been installed)
Thanks in advance for responses.

^Yes. I've run those as well. Not my top choice but very close. They tend to wear quickly and I don't believe the manufacturer offers a tread life warranty on them. The MPSS have a 35k tread life warranty when run square. Half that for staggered.

MPSS based on Mike5215's advice.
This who still have the run flats have no idea what they are missing!

Swapped out the Pirelli runflats at the 1K mark for Yokohama Advan Sport A/S 405's. I needed something all season (3 season) in the load and speed rating that came with the original tires so I chose these. So far they have been fantastic!
I'll slap the original Pirelli's back on at lease return. At the price they want here for them (around 500 each) it was a no brainer for me considering they would not last till lease return............

Has anyone here tried the BF Goodrich G-Force Comp-2 A/S? They are top rated on Tirerack.com.

I did. They rode great and were very quiet. I think they may have felt better than the MPSS but...they just looked "wrong" on a Benz. Almost like a snow tire or off road tire. I had to swap them for the MPSS.

Hankook Ventus S1 EVO2 are also worthy of consideration especially given the price differential to Conti CSS6 or 5 non RF, or even the Mich PSS...
These tyres seem to top the independent perfromance summer tyre tests coming out of europe..
I'll be getting the hankooks next so i can start to throw it around a bit more without worrying about replacement tyre costs...
