Distronic Display

Can someone share with me what the display does (in speedo) when you do not have Distronic Plus? Just seems to show the front of the car for no reason.... so far. Why even have that display?

I've wondered the same. Would love to hear a rationale for it, but I'm guessing it's just easier/cheaper to throw the same software on every car regardless of actual functionality.

jhern, based on the lack of responses I'm guessing the same thing. The owners manual wasn't much help either.

I guess I have to put something up in that spot that worth while. I'd like for tire pressure to go in there.

Possible? I'm still learning...

Do you mean the assistance display with the graphic showing the front of the car? That display also shows you blind spot system status as well as side collision prevention warnings.

The W204 has the same empty non-functional graphic if you don't have the package.

I wish I didn't have to try everything to know whether I have that option or not. For example when I hit the voice command button, it directs me the nav screen everytime. How am I supposed to know if I have voice command or not? OT any other option for that matter?
Great car though. it is interesting to still have my ATS (lease due end of April) and my Merc. There's one thing that the Caddy is really good at: CUE touch screen.

You bought a car without being sure what options it came with?

Well, none of it was clearly a "show stopper". I will tell you though that I thougt that it had voice control. Proilly should have for the dough...like my ATS.

If you were dropping 40k on a car make sure to know what options it has.

when I bought any Mercedes they always give you a run down of features at least.

Do you have the lighting package or media package?

no and no. I got this on a whim. It's a brand new leftover 2015. It's got Palladium Silver, AMG wheels. Has a panoramic, bluetooth, great price. I'm happy... just a little surprised there's so many add-ons.

There should be a second page in this menu that shows an estimate on how fit the driver is. You can access that with the arrow up/down button.
Unless this option is not always there.

It's attention assist you're referring to and it doesn't detect fitness it detects tiredness.

as for the menu being discussed mine shows things like the road signs/speed limits etc (no distronic on mine.. a mistake).
