I remember reading that in Apple Daily. That has to be one of the worst traffic accident except for the bus that fell off the bridge on Tuen Mun Highway.

I haven't been back to Hong Kong for almost two years now so I'm not up to date with the car scene in Hong Kong. The increase in E46 ricers are probably because of the price drop after the E90 came out. You must be pretty well to be able to afford an E90 with a C55. I think my family is still driving the 10+ year old W124 in Hong Kong.

Thanks genechien! Just used your pics to install a flat hood badge on my E320. Couldn't figure how to get the old one out. I probably would have scratched something or broken it w/o your pictures.

I saw the CL style grilles on formymercedes.com, but they're not the same as the one in this thread. This CLK grill has only three horizontal chrome-edged blades, the others have more blades or have more chrome around the outside. This kit looks REALLY nice! Very clean.

The reason why this one looks different is because the one in the images are for a C55, the front end of the C55 is different than the C32. SO the one that fits the C32 is like the one on formymercedes.com not the one in the images.

Great write up just did it! Although the cap that is under the hood won't shut with it in since the grill support doesn't have a hole in the middle. Any suggestions?

I wonder why we've had the issue however the original poster doesn't. I tried turning the cap each way but still it bumps.

Where can we buy this grill

Is Euroteck's $500 kit the only option?

Thanks for your great instructions.
Nice Grill and CF Lip. I had mine installed for 6 months. The CF lip is of good quality as I occasionally hit that at parking ramps and its stilll in nice shape.

BTW, what size is your hood badge? I think my badge is the small one.

Thanks

It seems the OEM 3 slat part number is
209-880-01-03

and the hood support is
209-889-00-90 which likely supersedes 209-888-00-90

What is the w209 latch part number??

Anyone have dealer prices on these offhand???

Yes. C32 is a completely different setup. The C32 grille attaches to the hood/bonnet, and it's a slightly more difficult swap. The hard part is replacing the hood latch handle (which needs to be extended so it pops out of the grille when you pull the latch in the car.

I replaced the C32 hood latch with a E class hood latch and it works fine...

Anyone comment on the ebay one for the c55? Seems like exactly the same. I did a search and some said it was and were happy and were left with a heavier wallet, they just had to get the latch and support.

My CLK installation

Looking at and having had a bit of time behind the wheel of a C63 had to do some upgrades, starting with a sport grill.
Installed a CLK grill purchased from Euroteckmotorsports and a WHITE STAR Flat Badge from Dude
Very simple and easy.
Next will be some real paddle shifters.

Our cars look alike. I just did this mod yesterday. Though your lights look better! Maybe mine need to be cleaned.....starting to look dull.

I got them from the dealer for about 40 bucks- you need both the latch and the support and cannot get away without either.
