Hey guys. Thought I'd ask this question here. I have enclosed two photos of what I believe to be the hood latch and grille support. I'm pretty sure the grille support is correct, but I'm not so sure on the hood latch. If someone can verify whether or not the hood latch is correct would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey guys, Ive ordered the CLK55 Grill, Support and latch.
Ive having trouble now that Ive got the latch part. Could someone give me the correct part number for this.
The dealer has sent me one that looks alot different then the c55 one. This new part has no handle and it won't be able to mount the my hood.
Ill get a picture up in a couple mins..
Thanks

It will look diff-its flat-no vertical "handle" on it either-2 bolts are all you need (pull the chrome strip off the hood using the plastic "nuts' to get it to seat flat)-

Hey Sorry I sent that message from my phone. Here's a picture of what I got.
C55 Latch
And this would be the new "CLK55 latch"
Ive installed the grill and the emblem but I Left out the Middle latch for now.. Whats happening is the new latch is not able to mount.. and the My C55 latch hits the new grill and wont let the hood come all the way down.
Any information would be great.

C55 latch wont work-as long as you have removed the front grill-and the top chrome piece (2 pc grill ) that latch should work-remember-the flat part points towards you
that looks dead on to what I have on mine.....

Nevermind. I saw in another thread that Mario's AMG badge yellows and fades after a year or so. I guess I'll just stick with the resin ones.
Who is selling the best quality flat badge right now?

I know this is an old thread and don't know if you are still alive but if you are, do you have to have a different hood latch when you go CLK grill?

Yes, the original one clashes with the new grille.

Hi all, great guide, ive got a little question or 2.
Ive got my hands on a pre-facelift grille, with 4 slats in it, instead of 3, still fits perfect.
Are the bonnet latch and grille support exactly the same as in this guide? Which part numbers do I need for my grille.
Thank you.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Just throwing this out there. Anyone in the Austin TX or surrounding areas want to trade grills? I have a w209 55 and hate the star in the grill.
