Factory fuel filter.....

Replaced its fuel filter again this morning.
Notwithstanding the fact it’s subjected only to so-called ‘top tier’ fuel from high-volume filling stations,
witnessed a surprising amount of debris in the catch basin upon draining it – after only ~30,000 miles.
Our local dealership quoted “about $300” to perform the simple task.
Figuring $50 street price for the filter and a casual half-hour of labor, it was time well spent.
Note the C32’s filter contains an integral fuel pressure regulator, so it’s probably best to avoid bargain suppliers.

Check those. Also, try checking the specific forum for your model vehicle, which appears is E500, unless you haven't updated that?

Sorry to bring out old thread but fuel pressure tested from fuel rail on C32 I was told should run at or around 60 psi when car on and when car off shouldn't go under 50 psi even if off all night.....is this right? I was told culprit usually is fuel filter since they have regulators inside. What else can be a culprit?

Worn out fuel pump can also reduce pressure. I had a pressure reading of 45 psi (3,1 bar) when my pump started malfunctioning. After a new factory filter and Walbro 255 pump my pressure is minimum of 56 psi (3,8 bar) and it stays stable all the way up 280 km/h. I have a meter hooked up inside the cockpit so I can see pressure at all times.
